Ernst van den Ende
Ernst van den Ende (1962) studied Plant Pathology at Wageningen University and subsequently obtained his PhD in the Phytopathology chair group. He then worked as a researcher at various test stations in the field of fruit growing and horticulture. The research within the WUR test stations has a strong regional focus. With the emergence of Greenports in the Netherlands, Ernst was also involved in several advisory councils and contributed to help shape regional innovation.
Since 1 September 2009 he has been General Director of the Plant Sciences Group (PSG) of Wageningen University & Research.
Ernst has been a member of the Top Sector Horticulture and Propagation Materials since February 2011.
Ernst lives with his family in Haarlem.
